  • 1 cup Gram Flour/Besan
  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 7-8 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • ¼ tsp Chilli powder
  • tsp Hing powder (Asafoetida)

Instructions

  • Sieve rice flour and gram flour and discard the lumps that follow. Transfer the flours to a vessel.
  • Grind garlic with ¼tsp chilli powder, ⅛tsp of asafoetida and a tbsp of rice flour to fine paste by adding water.
If you are using garlic paste, avoid this step.
(Garlic wont grind without leaving lumps as the quantity is few, so grind it with rice flour/gram flour to get a smooth paste)
  • Warm up the butter in a low flame till it melts.
  • Add melted butter and grinded garlic paste to the flour.
  • Add water gradually and make it into a dough.
  • Transfer dough to press using ribbon pakoda sieve. Press it slowly straight to oil when it is hot enough.
