Mutton Soup

Mutton soup is healthy and loaded with nutrients. There is still this tradition practised in certain households where if you catch cold or down with certain health ailments, pregnant or lactating, the age old dietician- grandmother prepares this soup and used to say this heals and gives you strength. Such is the magical power of this soup. The combination of mutton broth, pepper, garlic etc has their own unique properties in healing and increasing immunity. It’s also a great source of protein, strengths bones and joints, detoxifier and helps in boosting immunity.
Mutton soup is easy to digest and makes nutrients easily available, hence advisable for kids and woman in post partum to regain strength.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g Mutton Bone
  • 13-15 nos Pearl onion
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Cumin/Jeera
  • 5 Garlic
  • Curry leaves
  • Turmeric powder

Instructions
 

  • Grind small onion, black pepper and cumin to a coarse paste.
  • In a cooker, add mutton bones, crushed onion pepper, garlic, curry leaves, salt and turmeric powder.
  • Add 2 cups of water
  • Keep it for a whistle and then in low flame for 15-20 minutes.
  • Hot and spicy mutton soup is ready
