Raw Plantain

Plantains are rich source of Fiber, Vitamins, Magnesium and Potassium which improves digestive health, controls heart health, prevents constipation and helps in weight loss. This is a tasty and nutritious recipe prepared pretty much in the same way as potatoes.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Raw Plantain
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 Red Chilli
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1-2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • Oil
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Cut Plantain into small pieces and put it in water.
  • In a kadai, add oil, red chilli and onion.
  • When onion is half done, add Plantain by draining away the water.
  • Saute the plantain and then add salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder. Saute it and close it. Let it get done in its own steam covered.
  • When Plantain is done, open the lid and saute it fry for another 10-15 min till it achieves your desired consistency. Add more oil and roast for crispier version.
  • Serve with curd rice.
