Raw Plantain
Plantains are rich source of Fiber, Vitamins, Magnesium and Potassium which improves digestive health, controls heart health, prevents constipation and helps in weight loss. This is a tasty and nutritious recipe prepared pretty much in the same way as potatoes.
Ingredients
- 2 Raw Plantain
- 1 Onion
- 3 Red Chilli
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 1-2 tsp Red chilli powder
- Oil
- Salt
Instructions
- Cut Plantain into small pieces and put it in water.
- In a kadai, add oil, red chilli and onion.
- When onion is half done, add Plantain by draining away the water.
- Saute the plantain and then add salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder. Saute it and close it. Let it get done in its own steam covered.
- When Plantain is done, open the lid and saute it fry for another 10-15 min till it achieves your desired consistency. Add more oil and roast for crispier version.
- Serve with curd rice.
It’s just yumm…great recipe that even kids enjoy it.
