Stuffed Radish Chapathi
Radish is an undervalued vegetable, and seldom finds its way into our pantry. Even though it possesses a pungent smell, it is loaded with nutrients and used in Ayurveda and other traditional medicines as a cure for some health ailments.Radish contains high water content enough to keep the body well hydrated. It is a good source of several vitamins and minerals like Vit C, folate, potassium etc., and has anti-fungal properties which are known to fight against major fungal infections in our body. Vit C and high water content in the vegetable keeps our skin well hydrated and glowing. It is a detoxifier, low in fat, calories, high fiber, and the presence of nutrients and certain compounds is proven to be helpful for fighting fungal infections, diabetes, blood pressure, protects heart, weight loss, digestive disorders etc., making the vegetable rank high.
Ingredients
- 1 Medium sized Radish
- 2 Onion
- 3-4 Green chilli
- 1 tsp Crushed Ginger
- Coriander leaves
Instructions
- Peel the outer skin of radish, wash it properly and shred it in a shredder. Add 1 tsp of crushed ginger to it and keep it aside.
- Slice 2 onions, chop 3 green chillies and coriander leaves.
- Add shredded radish, crushed ginger, sliced onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt together in a mixing bowl. Mix it evenly.
- Make chapathis.. Roll out chapathi dough.
- Place stuffing radish mix evenly in a chapathi.
- Place another chapathi on top of it.
- Press the ends using a fork.
- Place it in a chapathi griddle when its hot enough. Add some oil. Cook in a medium flame.
- Flip it over and cook the other side.
- Gently press to make sure the stuffing is also cooked.
- Transfer to plate. Can be had as such or with onion raitha.
